My name is Ashleigh Joplin, and although I am not originally from here I grew to appreciate the uniqueness of New Orleans culture. Due to Hurricane Katrina, I was displaced to several different locations, and developed a love for travel and came to value different cultures.

I enrolled into Science and Math my sophomore year and fell in love. The school has given me a sense of family and room to grow. By opening my eyes to different aspects of life including; college, politics, community service, and self expression, I have developed a foundation of diligence, determination, and moral values.
This trip to Europe will put me in the country where I one day hope to build my dream career: a Spanish language Broadcaster. High school has given me so much, I look forward to discovering what the rest of the world has to teach me.
I can’t wait until June!
Hi! I’m Brittany Copelin. I am a graduating senior of the class of 2008. I plan to attend college at Dillard University of New Orleans and major in Spanish. During my high school career, I also took two years of French. After college, I want to move to a Spanish speaking country to become more fluent in this beautiful language.
Later, I dream of becoming a Spanish teacher. I hope to inspire people to have the passion that I do for foreign language. Going on my senior trip to France and Spain would really deepen my understanding and desire to learn more about these languages and cultures.
My name is Mia Fulton and I to Science and Math High School. I have been studying Spanish for three years and going to Spain will allow me use what I’ve learned in a practical way. I’ve always wanted to go to Spain to taste the food and learn more about the culture first hand. I’d also love to go to France and eat some French toast… or something!

Going on this trip will be a dream come true for me. In the future I will always have something to look back on, and it will also help me kick-start my dream profession; to be an international businesswoman or restaurateur.
Hello my name is Railan Gabriel and I am a senior at Sci High. I am currently applying to different colleges all over the world. I would love to travel all over the world as I study in college but because I plan on studying computer science I don’t think I will have the chance. Thus I am really excited to go to Spain and France this summer before I begin my university studies.
Hi, I’m Unique “The Magnificent” Snyder and I plan to study engineering, and one day to do my part to change the enormous under representation of women in the field. I look forward to traveling to Europe this summer to view the classical, old-world architecture. Additionally, after my 3 years of Spanish studies, it will be thrilling to finally have the chance to interact with Spanish culture and language directly.
Hola! Me llamo Kendall Spears.

“My name is Kendall Spears.” I am looking forward to the trip to France and Spain because I believe it will help broaden my horizons. I want to become an engineer as well as an entrepreneur. Going on this trip will allow me the chance to see more of the world than most people in my community have ever dreamed of. I can’t wait to see how advanced the technology is in other countries. I also believe that it will be good for my future in business. I plan on making new contacts for when I go international.
My name is Dane Evans,
I’m seventeen and one of my goals is to have set foot in every corner of the world. Being able to go on my senior European trip would be a perfect start. Ever since I was little I had passion for reading, I devour knowledge on faraway places, and am enthralled with every aspect of the customs and culture that makes these places so amazing. Now, I want to see if the words in my books are true. I want to discover what the world is like, firsthand. I always set high personal goals, and I realize that achievement of any challenging goal comes through a combination of hard work, willpower, and the help of others.
Thank you for your contribution to help make this dream a reality.
